Capital International Bank’s online banking platform, VELTA, offers a bulk payment feature which enables VELTA users (“you”) to input and authorise multiple payments simultaneously.
Efficiency: Simplifies the payment process and administrative burden by allowing multiple transactions to be processed together through a single import template.

Currencies supported: GBP currency accounts only
Payment types: BACS and Faster Payments
Account types: Capital Call Accounts (CCA) and Capital Treasury Accounts (CTA)
Entry requirements: Each import file must contain a minimum of 5 and up to a maximum of 100 payments.
Cut-off times: Submit bulk payment instruction by 13:00 and Authorisation by 13:30 (GMT/BST)
To access the bulk payment feature and input instructions, account users must be granted with ‘payment input’ permissions by the relevant mandate administrator on a GBP CCA or CTA account. If you do not have access, please contact the relevant VELTA mandate administrator assigned to your account(s).
VELTA users who have been granted permissions to input payments on a GBP CCA or CTA account will find the ‘Bulk Payment’ option available as a sub-menu under the ‘Payments’ menu item.
Note: VELTA users attempting to navigate to the page after feature input cutoff 13:00 (GMT/BST) will be presented with the following message:
VELTA’s Bulk Payments feature permits payments to be made to both existing and new beneficiaries – you are not required to add each payee via the new beneficiary process before instructing a payment.
Note: Following a bulk payment instruction, any new beneficiaries will not be added as a beneficiary template.
Whilst it is not mandatory to create each payee as a beneficiary template before making a bulk payment, it is strongly recommended to do so from both a security and a fraud prevention point of view as VELTA’s beneficiary creation process contains validation checks, including Confirmation of Payee which may prevent payments being made in error.

Mandate permissions to authorise bulk payments:
VELTA users with payment authorisation permissions on the relevant GBP CCA or CTA can authorise bulk payments within the payment limits set by the relevant account’s VELTA mandate administrator.

Note: If no action is taken by the authorisation cut-off time (13:30 GMT/BST) or if full authorisation has not been completed, the bulk payment will expire and be removed from the authorisations page.
Authorisation history
VELTA users with permission to either input or authorise payments on the relevant GBP CCA or CTA account will be able to view the bulk payment transaction in the authorisation history page.
From this page, you can view all individual payments within the bulk payment instruction, along with user details of authorisation or rejection, including date and time stamps.
Each payment within a bulk payment transaction is displayed as an individual payment on the Payments History and Statements pages.
To distinguish bulk payments from other transaction types, the reference for bulk payments transactions is prefixed with 'BUB' for BACS and 'BUF' for Faster Payments.
On the statement page, each payment’s MT103 is accessible by clicking the hyperlink.
