Individual

For an individual application, we are required to obtain verification of the client's identity and residential address. Please see the below list of acceptable documents which we can accept as standard. If you are unable to provide a document from the below list, please contact the relevant Business Development team to discuss. Contact details can be found in the helpful contacts section of this guide.

The documentation used to verify the individual’s identity and address will need to be verified either through our certification or selfie process. Please review each verification process to determine acceptability.

Verification of identity:

To verify an individual's identity, we can accept: 

• Current valid full passport document bearing the individual's photograph
• Current valid national identity card bearing the individual's photograph
• Current valid provisional or full driving licence bearing the individual’s photograph (to be accepted, it needs to confirm the individual’s nationality)

Verification of address:

The verification of address document must detail the individual’s residential address. Please note that P.O. Box addresses cannot be accepted. We are able to accept the following documents:

• A recent account statement from a regulated bank, building society or credit card company (issued within the last 6 months)
• A recent mortgage statement from a regulated lender (issued within the last 6 months)
• A recent rates, council tax or utility bill, not including a mobile telephone or internet bill (issued within the last 6 months)
• Photographic driving licence or national identity card containing the individual's current residential address (must not have been used as the verification of identity document)

Please note: For non-English documents, we will require a certified copy of the original document in its native language. This will need to be submitted along with an English translated copy, translating the pertinent points of the document. We also require the translator's full contact details to be provided.
