Introducer (South Africa)

Thank you for your interest in setting up Terms of Business (TOB) as an Introducer with the Capital International Group (CIG).

We would like to ensure that this process runs smoothly and efficiently. The below infographic outlines the process of setting up TOB in 6 steps.

To get started with this process, you will need to follow the three stages of setting up TOB.

Please note: When compiling your submission, we ask that you fill in our Document Checklist to ensure you have included all of the necessary documents.

1. Forms to be completed

We require the following forms to be completed. Please click on the hyperlink to download and complete each form.

1. Intermediary Terms of Business
2. New Advisors Form: Please complete the form for each advisor, and include relevant authorised signatories.

2. Documentation required

We require certified copies of the following documents all of which must be certified and dated within the last 6 months. Please note that CIG have several requirements regarding certification and certifiers so please ensure you first review our KYC guidance.

• Authorised signatory list
• Certification of Incorporation
• Memorandum & Articles of association
• Proof of registration with a regulatory body clearly stating starting date of validity
• Register of company directors
• Register of members/ shareholders
• Current Officers Register
• Structured Chart detailing group/associated entities
• Company’s bank statement. This will be used to verify the account details stipulated in the application form match the statement (this does not need to be certified)
• Verification of identity and verification of address for two Directors.
• Verifications of identity and verification of address for all Signatories, if not Directors, including email addresses and mobile numbers
• KYC of all Shareholders who control 25% or more of the shares
• Certified FICA (ID and POA) for each advisor needing dealing access for the Investment Platform
• Names, email addresses and telephone numbers for all paraplanners/ administrative users who need to be linked to download online commission statements within the Investment Platform

3. Online Investment Platform access
