Riding the Sani2C 2018

Capital International Group
May 14, 2018

On the start line of this year’s Sani2C (https://sani2c.co.za), South Africa’s most loved multi-day mountain bike event, were two riders sporting Capital International Group's new corporate kit.

Group Chairman, Anthony Long, and Nic Kohne, Head of IT Development, based in the Group’s Cape Town office, successfully completed the journey which begins at Glencairn Farm in the KZN Midlands.

The race then meanders its way down (and up), covering over 260km through plantations, farmlands and sugar cane fields, before arriving at the shores of the Indian Ocean at Scottburgh’s main beach.

Anthony and Nic successfully completed the 3-day ride, finishing day 2's 85.2km in just over 4 hours. As you will see pictured, they made it look a breeze! What a huge achievement.

It's More than Just a Ride
The event is about so much more than simply experiencing the sheer beauty of the countryside. Through sponsorship and media, 'Farmer' Glen Haw and his team organise the event each year with the aim to promote employment through tourism and conservation of the area. They strive to educate, up-skill, and develop innovative ways to create opportunities for previously unemployed local residents along the route.

We are delighted to have been part of the 2018 event, and hope to have yet another team (or two…) on the start line in 2019!

Thank you and well done to all the organisers, from all our team at Capital International Group.
