In October, we added two new members to our Johannesburg team:
René Walker (left) - Senior Relationship Management Consultant
Lily Moyo - Relationship Management Consultant
As part of our Business Development team, their roles will be integral in nurturing our client relationships and further developing our footprint in Africa.
As part of World Mental Health Day, we organised a random act of kindness exchange. Staff were randomly assigned a colleague for whom they were encouraged to do something nice. There were gifts, messages anhugs but most importantly - smiles all round!
The Capital Cup contest continued this quarter with a wall squat competition. Staff working from home were able to dial in to compete with the winner sticking it out for almost 20 minutes!
Colleagues also went head to head this quarter in a brownie bake off and video competition. It’s great to see staff from all areas of the business getting involved and we’re looking forward to a highly competitive year ahead!
Some of our staff recently took time away from the office for an afternoon of tree-planting with the Isle of Man Woodland Trust. The team planted over 250 saplings in total - a great way to spend an afternoon contributing positively to the Island’s biodiversity.
On a warm November weekend in South Africa, some of our Cape Town team got together (at a safe distance) for a beach clean-up. Bags were filled up with plastic and other waste items, and It was nice for the team to be out and about making the most of the summer sunshine.
A pat on the back for team Capital for their efforts in the Santa Dash. The annual event sees hundreds of Santas sprinting through the streets of Douglas over a one mile course - a great way to raise money for good causes.
With the Isle of Man out of lockdown from July to January, we felt incredibly privileged to be able to host a Christmas party for staff and their partners.
