Overall purpose of the role:

We are currently developing a fresh, modern, new client reporting, banking and investment platform as part of an extensive programme of IT developments driven by our continued growth, and the intent to provide new services to our clients.

We are looking to recruit passionate, dedicated and responsible software developers with an enthusiasm for innovation and a drive to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

As part of the software development team, some of your key tasks could be:

  • Design, development and testing of both Applications and Core Service API’s around the current business, financial services, banking and financial marketplace that the company envisions expanding into.
  • The integration and transformation of data from reporting departments, institutions or third parties.
  • Enhancing and extending current software systems to cover newer business, reporting, compliance or risk requirements.
  • Collaborative architectural design and analysis of solutions.
  • Management and maintenance of current company software systems.
  • System and policy design and documentation.
  • Manage and facilitate the control of data and information throughout the group of companies.
  • Ongoing security and stability assessments of software systems.
  • Unit testing design and development, code review/sign-off, UI testing tools and customer journey improvement.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

The successful candidates must be self-starters and have experience in some or all of the following technologies and skills:

  • PHP 7
  • MVC Frameworks (Laravel)
  • HTML5 and CSS
  • Angular 7 or similar frameworks
  • SQL (MySQL/MariaDB)
  • Automated/Unit Testing (Laravel/Cypress)
  • Working to agile planning
  • High level of interest in IT solutions, both current and future
  • Intelligence and a systematic approach to problem-solving
  • Responsibility and accountability as an individual, and as part of the wider team
  • Accuracy and an eye for detail and quality
  • An aptitude for learning and continual growth while interested in sharing skills and helping others
