Reporting to: Head of Propositions & Marketing

Direct reports: N/A – but extensive senior internal and external stakeholders

Location: Role can be based in the Isle of Man or Cape Town, South Africa.

Role Purpose:

The Digital Marketing & Data Senior Manager is a mouthful of a title, but it’s a big job! It’s a totally new role, and it’s there to help the Group achieve data excellence to deliver its strategic plan and to give us an edge which is too hard for our competitors to copy.

Let’s presume it’s you. You will build our brand all over the world. You will interface with the Head of Propositions & Marketing, the IT Director, the CEO and others to create insight to inform our marketing strategy and to ensure we make life better for our people and our clients in how we use data.

You will be passionate about finding opportunities from data and will have a heavy bias towards strategic digital marketing. You will delight in devising and implementing an international digital marketing plan to increase brand awareness, brand equity and revenue generation. You’ll have done something similar before, but we’re relaxed which industry it’s in. And you’ll be in the Isle of Man, or Cape Town, with the right to work there.

 Essential Skills:

  • Significant and proven experience in devising and implementing strategic digital marketing plans across a variety of channels, paid and earned
  • Experience of leveraging complex, and disorganised / incomplete data to improve group marketing, client experience and governance
  • The ability to influence a broad and senior range of internal and external stakeholders to win resources and support for cross group plans
  • A detailed understanding of GDPR and an ability to meet its requirements in parallel with the broader strategic objectives of the firm
  • Tangible experience in delivering increased efficiency, reduced costs, increased revenue
  • The ability to manage multi-channel integration to allow customers and prospects a consistent and differentiated on-brand experience
  • The ability to balance and deliver multiple projects involving multiple stakeholders
  • Experience in managing UI/UX design and implementation working with others in infrastructure

Qualifications:

A relevant bachelor’s degree in addition to specific marketing and / or data qualifications.
